Busch Creations

A little bit about me

Thanks for dropping by, I thought you may want to know a little bit about me before you wander off into the land of "Busch Creations".  I always have trouble with the About Me part of sites, so bear with me here.

My name is Penny and I’m 37yrs old (I’ll change this soon) and I’m married to a wonderful man who puts up with my madness. I have three beautiful daughters who are growing up so fast it’s scary.  I live in the Blue Mountains and my home backs onto national park where I can sit and either listen to the sounds of nature...or sit and complain about the sounds of nature, depending on what time of day it is.  My family is my rock, without them I am nothing.

I’m a registered nurse who specialised in Gerontology. I loved working with the elderly and the stories I have heard over the years are mind boggling. There is no better way to learn your history than through the eyes and mouths or those that have lived it.

I love animals, I don’t have a green thumb, I am shy but outspoken (go figure that one out), and this year I am taking time out to find who I really am.  I’m actually learning to say no to people, which is a new thing for me... and it’s not easy.

I do love the gym when I get there, but I tend to put it off more often than not.  I joined Weight Watchers this year, for the last time, and I’m enjoying seeing the results so far!  I may even pop a little “look how much I’ve lost” graph somewhere on this site...time will tell.

I will freely admit that I love craft; if you show me a new craft it’s highly likely that I’m going to become passionate about it.

My craft room was originally designed as a sewing room and it’s amazing that I can walk into my own space and just relax.  I love it.  But my sewing room houses not just machines and fabric, it contains the basics for many crafts that have inspired me over the years. Fabrics, bits and buttons, sewing machines...too many to count... papercraft, paints, furs, patterns and magazines galore. It’s my little piece of freedom and I love it.  More recently I have become fascinated with stamping and colouring and you can often find me sitting in the craft room colouring in!

My kids are crafty too. The eldest is quite specific about what she likes, my middle daughter will try anything and my youngest just watches what I’m doing and then copies it. She has fallen in love with paper crafting and loves origami.

My husband...believe it or not, I think he likes craft...or puts up with it. Years ago we got into making wedding stationary and he sat for hours hand embossing cards.  This began with our own wedding invitations and just continued.
I recently became an independent Kaszazz Consultant (6215) and I’m excited about the opportunities it is bringing my way.

That’s enough about me. Let’s move on to looking at pages that may inspire!

p.s thanks to kylie for editing and spell checking for me!
